________
You only need a handful of ingredients to make these easy Brownie Collagen Bites. I like to keep them in the freezer for when we feel like a wee sweet treat. This recipe is by Nutritionist Jordan Pie.
Nutritional notes: These Brownie Collagen Bites are packed with wholesome ingredients! With collagen, antioxidant-rich cacao, and maca root, they’re a satisfying treat that helps support your overall well-being. Peanut or almond butter adds healthy fats for lasting energy, and the natural sweetness from maple syrup and coconut nectar means no refined sugar—just a delicious, feel-good snack to enjoy any time.
Brownie Collagen Bites
Makes: 10 Prep time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup crunchy peanut or almond butter
- 1/3 cup Cacao Collagen Powder + an extra tbsp or two if needed*
- 1-2 tbsp cacao powder
- 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Melted (additive free) chocolate for coating (I used 1x 80g block of choc)
Method
- Mix all ingredients (except melted chocolate) in a bowl until combined. I started with 2 Tbsp maple syrup, and you can add in a bit more if you prefer it sweeter. If the mix is a little too wet, add in the extra 1-2 Tbsp Cacao Collagen Powder until you get the right consistency.
- Roll the dough into 10 balls.
- Coat each ball in the melted chocolate and place onto a lined tray.
- I garnished with sea salt and bee pollen, but toasted and chopped almonds or peanuts or freeze dried raspberries would also be super yummy.
- Place in the fridge or freezer to set.
- When they're ready, enjoy!
