Wellness with Bianca Melas

How do you incorporate moments of wellness throughout your day?
Moments of wellness is key to staying connected and grounded to myself. I begin my day with breath and mediation. I slow down and take deep breaths before taking my first supplements of the day. I always cleanse my space between clients with oils or palo santo. I also make the effect to prepare wholesome, nourishing lunches that I send words of love and gratitude to before eating. 


Over the past 3 years, what new belief, behaviour, or habit has had the most positive impact on your life?

Movement, always!! This is my medicine - time spent on my mat, flowing and moving has such a profound effect on my mental health. It makes me feel resilient, grounded and connected to my body. 


When life feels overwhelming or unsettling, what practices do you use to recenter and ground yourself?

Deep breathing, meditation and movement are my vices for when I’m feeling overwhelmed. These practices truly help me to move any unsettling energy and release my stress. 


What’s one piece of advice you’d tell your younger self?
To trust in the universe, and let go of the judgment of others. Staying true to you, and doing things that light you up will always take you the furthest in life.
